How do you remember Truth?

I have a friend who recently lost her husband to cancer.
She wears this bracelet as a reminder of Truth.

(That’s not her hand. It’s mine. The chewed up thumb gives me away every time.)

She needs this reminder attached to her wrist that tells her that she’s not forgotten.
Not even close.
It tells her the story about the steadfast love of her Heavenly Father who still has some living for her to do.
It tells her that He’s got big plans for her – plans to prosper her and not to harm her – plans that give her a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
So she wraps these words around and around her wrist – Truth that keeps telling her the truth:  God has more for her, immeasurably more than she could ask or imagine.
Sometimes she just needs to see Truth to remember.

Don’t we all?

This white plate sits in my kitchen, in the heart of my home.
It’s fuel for the hungry. I need this meat all day long.
Forget snacking, I come here to remember and fill.

{Psalm 81:10 says, “Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” … isn’t that what we’re all really after anyway? To be full? Satisfied?}

We can talk all day long about wanting to know more scripture – about how we wish we had more time to get in the Word, and blah, blah, blah.
But what I really want to know is what are you actually doing about it?
What do you do when you need to remember Truth?  {Because we all desperately need to remember.}

How do you keep Truth right out in front of you?

{Allison, if you’re reading this: The bracelet on my wrist is yours.  I’m putting it in the mail for you today. I love you, friend.}
