What to do with all those beautiful Christmas cards … Some ideas for you!

Today I took down Christmas at our house.  It might be a post-Christmas miracle that I kept it up so long.  {Usually it’s down Christmas night … I know! Ba-hum-bug!}

What’s left after all the bins are put away is a large stack of these:

Even me, who is quite possibly the most non-sentimental person in the world, has a hard time throwing these away.  So, this year I’ve done some Pinterest browsing to find …

5 CUTE WAYS TO RECYCLE YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS

#1:  SAVE PICTURES IN PHONE CONTACTS

I did this one last year.  Simply take a picture of each Christmas card and save it as the image for your contacts.  Then, when your friend calls, their cute family will pop up.  Love it!
And now you can throw away the cards šŸ™‚

#2: MAKE A CARD BOOK

This is a cute way to display your cards.  Just hole punch, bind with rings and make a cute cover.  Easy, breezy book to display on your coffee table.

#3:  CHRISTMAS CARD PLACE MATS

For those of you who can bring yourself to cutting up all those pretty cards (me! me!), a Christmas place mat may be just for you.  Simply cut, arrange and laminate.
My kids would love these!

#4:  MAKE A CHRISTMAS SCRAPBOOK

I’m not a scrapbooker, so this one is not for me.  But, how about a Christmas scrapbook?  This book could be reserved strictly for each year’s Christmas cards, labeling by year.
This would be fun to look through year after year.

#5: CREATE A VISUAL PRAYER LIST

Using a simple ring to hold them together, put the cards in a basket on the table as a visual prayer list.  During meal time, your family can pick a card and pray for the family pictured.  What  a sweet way to lift up your friends and family throughout the year.
This one is a keeper.

OK peeps.  That’s all I got.

Happy weekend to you!!

I really like these ideas. I have many random Christmas cards from years past that I could do this with as well as ones from this year.
Miss you and all the women at the Ranch. No new church yet for us…
