I’m feeling particularly chatty {and random} right now so beware.
This is a post of a few of the “new” things going on around here.
I’ve been working on a room re-do for my oldest, who is turning 10 next week.
Here’s a peek at her dresser that we repainted.
It’s a sweet, very pale teal. It makes me happy (and the big girl loves it too!)
This is my new favorite way to eat a salad.
Actually, it’s the only way I’ll eat one –
when it’s masked by frozen mixed berries, mango and frozen yogurt.
Yum-o. The kids will eat them too, which is a huge win.
and it’s on my menu for next week.
Want the recipe?
(If you try it before me, let me know how it is.)

This book isn’t new to me but I’m re-reading it, so we can pretend.
It’s called Anonymous, by Alicia Britt Chole.
It’s about the “hidden seasons” of our life when we feel anonymous.
“These unsettling spaces are actually the surprising birthplace of true spiritual strength.”
This book is one I keep going back to for more.
I’ll close with a verse I’ve been chewing on for the last couple of weeks.
I’ve been challenged by this verse before, but it’s speaking to me in a new way.
Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
Psalm 86:11
According to Bible.org, the Hebrew for the last line is better translated:
Bind my heart to the fearing of your Name.
And that, my friends, is my new prayer.
What’s new with you?
